10×10: The 10th Annual Bedlam Community Ten Minute Play Festival.
This year I am lucky to be participating in the 10×10 play festival as a core writer. I am completely excited to contribute to this exciting, daring and HIGHLY COLLABORATIVE process for theater and spectacle. This is a big step for me as far as collaboration and production are concerned. I am very excited to see an idea through to production with actors and get a theatrical moment that I had a hand in up on it’s feet.
And so can you! (Stephen Colbert?)
Here’s the Digs- @2speakease
In a nutshell: Ten minutes is strict. Play can mean anything. All interested parties – from first time theater makers through seasoned professionals – are encouraged to submit – either a script (in progress or finished) or a proposal for a ten minute project. Submissions are accepted March 1-15 – complete guidelines at bedlamtheatre.org. Auditions are April 2nd – and everyone who auditions will be cast. 21 scripts/projects will be performed at the Capri Theater in No. Mpls May 11th-15th 2011.
BUT FIRST THERE’S THE IDEA-THON!
