Though a clod, many things

Today I am going to The Museum of Russian Art.

Can’t wait for all of the -isms I haven’t had enough experience with.

I’ll be sure to let you know what I look at. Franklin was, not surprisingly, looking for Kandinsky, he also loves Matisse. I’m sure he’s probably fond of Malevich too.

I am hoping simply to be surprised and moved.

“You would not recognize me now:/a bulging bulk of sines,/groaning,/and writing./What can such a clod desire?/Though a clod,  many things.”–Vladimir Mayakovsky excerpt from The Cloud in Trousers.

And yes, Mayakovsky’s coming with me.
